There are several reasons why I started this project. I had these goals in mind for quite some time, but I was just looking for a pragmatic solution to an actual, real-world problem. I have been coding for 20+ years, and I became really jaded by the time I spent on projects that lay unused and buried in obscure GitHub repositories. Would I have been happier if I used all that coding time to just watch a movie with my wife and kids?

I found the perfect problem, and simultaneously deployed all the other things that I have been reserving to learn and practice:

• I needed a free quiz platform to review my kid for his upcoming high school entrance exams.
• I needed said platform for my own professional review purposes (wink wink).

After convincing myself that this project is indeed worth building, here are the technical goals that I have in mind:

• Learn Agentic Software Development. Delegate AI as much as possible, and see what happens if I swallow my developer pride and just get shiz done. Maybe I will document my journey as well, from being an old-school full-stack senior developer to a pure-blooded vibe coder (sorry, agentic software developer)? Let's see.
• Double down on my Ruby on Rails expertise. Rails is not cool anymore, and maybe it's a good thing, because the supply of Rails developers has been in decline for the past few years. As the law of supply and demand states, if you keep the supply lower while the demand is constant, prices will rise.
• Master the holy grail of Ruby on Rails and AWS Lambda through Lamby. I am being as stingy as possible with these pet projects. Maybe it comes with the age and the jadedness.
